Don't Forget to Fall Back This Weekend!

Time to Fall Back: Your Friendly Reminder for the Weekend Time Change
It’s that time of year again! While the sun is setting a little earlier and the air is getting crisper, we are officially approaching the end of Daylight Saving Time.
This coming weekend, most of the United States will be turning the clocks back one hour. Here is everything you need to know to stay on track.
When Do the Clocks Change?
The official shift happens at 2:00 AM on Sunday, November 1, 2026. At that exact moment, the time will roll back to 1:00 AM.
What to do: Before you head to bed on Saturday night, remember to manually adjust any wall clocks, microwave displays, oven timers, and analog watches back by one hour. Most of your smartphones, smartwatches, and computers will update themselves automatically while you sleep!
The Good News: An Extra Hour of Sleep!
Because we are "falling back," you will technically gain an extra hour of rest this weekend. It’s the perfect excuse to catch up on some sleep, linger over a morning coffee, or enjoy a lazy Sunday morning.
The Adjustments to Expect
While gaining an hour sounds great, shifting our internal schedules can still throw our circadian rhythms for a brief loop.
  • Earlier Sunsets: Starting Sunday evening, you’ll notice the sun setting significantly earlier in the afternoon.
  • Bright Mornings: The trade-off is that your morning commute will feature a bit more daylight.
  • Safety First: With the darkness arriving earlier, the National Fire Protection Association always recommends using this biannual weekend clock change as a reminder to check the batteries in your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors.
Enjoy your bonus hour this weekend, and don't forget to set those clocks back!
